The Faculty of Public Health, KKU hosts the meeting for deans in public health of Thailand on the 14^th of March 2014. The Faculty of Public Health, Khon Kaen University hosts the 1/2014 meeting of deans in public health of Thailand at the Saksila Room, Faculty of Public Health, Khon Kaen University. The dean of the Faculty of Public Health and administrators of organizations in public health from 23 institutions participated in the meeting. Asst. Prof. Dr. Somsak Pitaksanurat, Dean of the Faculty of Public Health, gave a welcoming speech as organizer of the meeting.

        At the meeting there were discussions about the establishment of a professional council in public health, advancement of standards of undergraduate degrees and graduate degrees in the public health field in accordance with TQF. There also were activities in the SEAPHEIN network and APACPH related to central testing and the establishment of an international journal, meetings of the network and the developments of a research network of educational institutions. In addition, there was discussion on the creation of a constitution of Thai public health deans council 2013. Assoc. Prof. Dr. MD. Pitaya Charupoonporn Dean of the Faculty of Public Health, Mahidol University and chairman of the meeting of deans in public health presided over the meeting.

         The meeting was carried out with cooperation from teaching staff and support staff who warmly welcomed the guests. The 2/2014 meeting will be held on the 29^th of April 2014 at the ASEAN Health Development Institute, Mahidol University, the host of the next meeting.
